“Here’s That Rainy Day” – Solo Jazz Guitar

Its been raining all day….here is a quick solo improvisation on “Here’s That Rainy Day” by Jimmy Van Heusen and Johnny Burke. The song was first published in 1953 and was introduced in the Broadway musical, “Carnival in Flanders” the same year.

It is considered a jazz standard and has been recorded by many, many artists including Frank Sinatra and even Bob Dylan! I recommend you check out Joe Pass’s solo version as well as Wes Montgomery’s cover. My favorite version is by the vocalist, Kenny Rankin.
